GitHub adds trend tracking to organization Code Quality dashboard

What’s new

The organization-level Code Quality dashboard now includes a Trends tab. This replaces the previous point-in-time snapshot view with a historical perspective, allowing teams to see whether open findings are trending up or down and which repositories are driving those changes.

Key capabilities

  • Time-series graph: The dashboard plots open findings over 7, 14, or 30-day ranges, grouped by health score or severity. It displays the current total and net change since the period began.
  • Repository ranking: Dedicated tables rank repositories by the magnitude of change in open findings. This helps teams identify which repositories are improving and which require attention.
  • Filtering: Both the graph and tables respect the repository filters applied at the top of the page.

Availability constraints

Vendor claims indicate this feature is generally available for organizations on GitHub Enterprise Cloud and GitHub Team plans with GitHub Code Quality enabled, as well as on GitHub Enterprise Cloud with data residency. Notably, this feature is not available on GitHub Enterprise Server.
